Benn Longshaw

Corporate Finance Director

Having completed a mathematics degree from Liverpool University, Benn embarked on his accountancy career in a progressive firm of accountants in Staffordshire where he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2000.

Once qualified, Benn took up a practice manager’s role within a niche accountancy and audit firm based in Cheshire. His duties there involved overseeing the audit, accounts and compliance matters of a wide range of predominantly owner managed businesses operating throughout a variety of sectors.

Following around 5 years in that role, Benn diversified into the field of Corporate Finance and Transactional Services within a North West based practice operating out of Manchester and Liverpool where he stayed for 5 years.

His role there included carrying out Financial Due Diligence assignments on behalf of Banks and other Financial Institutions as well as advising on both sell and buy side transactions including MBO’s, Corporate Acquisitions and Disposals and Fundraising Mandates.

Benn’s most recent role was as a Corporate Finance Manager within a top 10 international accountancy practice which he left in February 2011 to join the expanding team at Sedulo.

In his spare time, Benn is a keen follower of sport and is married with a young daughter.
