About The Role

About the role

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to work across our exciting client base. You will be working on a variety of fast growing clients in different industries providing accurate bookkeeping services and reports and working closely with one of our portfolio Financial Controller’s to add value to the clients operations. The role will be extremely customer focused and a digital background is essential with the majority of clients on cloud software and making use of various apps to streamline the bookkeeping process.


A typical day will look like;

  • Posting customer and supplier invoices making use of softwares such as Dext
  • Reconciling bank accounts, and invoice financing accounts where required
  • Reconciling supplier and customer ledgers and discussing the ledgers with the client to ensure their accuracy
  • Preparing payment runs ready for director approval
  • Posting monthly journals such as wages journals
  • Working closely with our portfolio FC’s to create bespoke client systems to ensure accurate information is provided to aid decision making and growth plans, using technology wherever possible
  • Assisting with the development of junior members of the team to ensure they learn how to carry out bookkeeping to a high standard
  • Respond to client queries in a timely manner
  • Support other departments where necessary
  • Additional bookkeeping duties as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and experience required

What we really need;

  • Proven working experience in a bookkeeping role
  • Experience covering all core areas including, sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank reconciliations
  • Experience of using cloud based accounting softwares and related apps
