The Role

Role Purpose

Working closely with the Tax Partner you will be responsible for the creation of our Private Client department, taking the existing HNW clients from the tax compliance team and integrating them into a new private client team. In collaboration with our wealth team, the new private client team will deliver the very best service to our wealthiest clients and their families. The role could offer future partnership potential for the right candidate.

Role Objectives

  • Managing the private client team including;
    • Overseeing the initial set up and roll out
    • Designing & delivering the tax services (compliance and advisory) that form part of the overall service offering
    • Recruiting and developing junior staff to assist in the service delivery
    • Working with the marketing team to develop a business development strategy to promote the service
    • Working closely with the wealth team to coordinate a holistic service to the clients incorporating all aspects of financial advice
  • Working closely with other departments across Sedulo to ensure clients generally receive a world class financial advisory service

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Qualified CTA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent
  • Robust post qualifying experience in a private practice Private Client Tax environment
  • Technically strong with a passion for knowledge and the ability to think creatively
  • Confident in dealing with clients at all levels, great communicating skills with clients over the phone or in person
  • Strong written communication skills to write reports when required
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Organised and efficient
  • Commercial outlook with an appetite to take on new challenges
