As Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and delivering recruitment strategies that attract top talent to our franchise. You’ll work closely with leadership, franchisees, and marketing to shape our employer brand and build a talent pipeline for future business needs, engaging in employer branding and outreach initiatives to attract potential candidates.

About the Role

As Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and delivering recruitment strategies that attract top talent to our franchise. You’ll work closely with leadership, franchisees, and marketing to shape our employer brand and build a talent pipeline for future business needs, engaging in employer branding and outreach initiatives to attract potential candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and implementing talent acquisition strategies
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with our franchise growth goals
  • Source, screen, and manage candidate pipelines for broker roles
  • Collaborate with franchise broker liaison team to identify hiring needs in key regions
  • Manage job advertising, LinkedIn campaigns, and recruitment agency relationships
  • Oversee our applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure a seamless candidate experience
  • Support with the delivery of onboarding and recruitment toolkits to new franchisees
  • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics (e.g. time-to-hire, cost-per-hire)
  • Conducting market research to identify talent trends
  • Ensure recruitment practices align with FCA and GDPR compliance standards
  • Collaborating with marketing teams to enhance employer branding

Role Overview

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll be focussing on the long-term strategy of recruiting and attracting talent to join the Magna Money commercial finance broker network on a self-employed basis.

Your role will focus primarily on managing the recruitment process from start to finish. You will have autonomy to manage the candidate sourcing, client communications, and recruitment administration. Supported by the Broker Liaison Team, you will use your strong foundation in the lending industry to communicate with prospective candidates to properly communicate the benefits and features of Magna Money, and to set realistic expectations of the self-employed broker role. This is an excellent progression opportunity for someone keen to continue developing themselves in a fast-paced and rewarding career in recruitment.

You will also be given opportunities to maintain and grow your own professional network through networking and attending business and industry events. As part of this this you will be expected to support in the brand development of Magna Money, representing the business in a positive and professional manner, building and maintaining relationships with partners and raising awareness to support in the sourcing of prospective talent.

Over time you will also be expected to familiarise yourself with the facilities offered by our lender partners so you can better represent the business in recruitment activities and more accurately outline the broker role when recruiting for new candidates.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Extensive Recruitment Expertise: Proven track record in end-to-end recruitment, with solid experience in financial services—particularly in commercial finance roles such as bridging finance, asset finance, and unsecured lending.

  • Franchise & Multi-Site Recruitment: Demonstrated success in managing recruitment for franchise or multi-location operations, including onboarding processes tailored to varied business models.

  • Strategic Talent Acquisition: Deep understanding of talent acquisition strategies, with the ability to align recruitment efforts with wider business goals.

  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Strong ability to engage, influence, and manage a diverse range of stakeholders across all levels of the business.

  • Interviewing & Selection Expertise: Highly skilled in candidate assessment, interviewing, and selection techniques, ensuring the best fit both culturally and technically.

  • Tech-Savvy Recruiter: Proficient in using ATS platforms and recruitment CRMs, as well as LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools to drive proactive talent pipelines.

  • Employer Branding Awareness: Sound knowledge of employer branding principles and how to attract top-tier talent in a competitive market.

  • Data-Driven Approach: Adept at using recruitment metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and improve hiring efficiency.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Experience in mentoring, training, and leading recruitment teams to high performance.

  • Regulatory Insight: Understanding of FCA-regulated environments and adjacent sectors is a strong advantage.
