About the role
Role objectives include:
Able to develop and innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs
Able to develop excellent relationships with departmental managers to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the network.
Experience in creating, administering and executing disaster plans that will keep the company functional in the event of a crisis
Able to assist team members with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of the system hardware and software.
Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel
Verify functionality of hardware and software components
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone
Conduct daily network back up operations
Educated to degree level with high problem solving skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy
Experience of IT support role, ideally in house or support desk environment.
Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client technologies
Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills – able to clearly convey information in a manner that engages audiences.
Possesses hands on approach – creating comprehensive project plans with realistic mile stones and deadline dates
Has a pro active and initiating attitude and strong ability to manage daily activity to maximise output.
Organised – Co-ordinates work and monitors own performance
Communicating – articulates messages clearly and listens to others
Evaluating and interpreting – Seeks to understand root causes of complex situations and make informed recommendations
