254 underprivileged children across the UK are set to receive a sack full of presents on Christmas Day thanks to the Elves from our annual Christmas Toy Appeal.

Over 3,000 gifts have been bought, wrapped and delivered with Sedulo teaming up with local charities and councils to help bring smiles to children’s faces on Christmas morning.

Sacks have been filled with specific gifts for each child, including books, sports equipment, board games, puzzles and even a guitar!

The appeal works by identifying families hit hardest at this time of year. Through sponsorship, children are chosen by participants who then sponsor and buy presents based on a child’s wish list.

It all culminates in a reverse style Santa’s Grotto at our Regency Club in Manchester and Ambler Club in Leeds. The events play host to a gathering of clients, colleagues, family and friends for a fun-filled afternoon where the present-filled sacks are then handed to Father Christmas and then onto the charities.

Managing Partner, Paul Cheetham, commented on this year’s Toy Appeal:

We have been doing our Toy Appeal for almost 10 years now and each year it gets bigger than the last. In almost all cases of the children we support, they wouldn’t be getting a single present on Christmas day if it wasn’t for this appeal, that thought is heart-breaking.

It’s an initiative I am very proud of, organising and distributing around 3,000 bespoke presents isn’t an easy task, and I would just like to thank all the clients and the team here at Sedulo for coming together to do something good in the community.

In my opinion, all businesses should seek ways in which they can contribute to the communities they exist in, and this is just one of how we take our social responsibility seriously.

Giving back is an integral part of our culture, enabling us to create positive change in the communities we’re a part of, with the Christmas Toy Appeal just one way we give back each year.
