Sedulo have helped with the launch of a new charity aimed at providing families with children suffering with Neuroblastoma and other rare forms of childhood cancers respite and support.
Maddi’s Butterflies has been set up in memory of Madison Allan who sadly lost her battle against Neuroblastoma on Boxing Day 2011, aged just 7 years old. Maddi’s family and friends have come together to raise money to assist families in exactly the same situation they have found themselves in, when Maddi was first diagnosed with Neuroblastoma as a baby.
Through working with one of our other charity clients, the Five Stars Appeal Children’s Charity, we became very involved with raising much needed funds to help Maddi receive the treatment she desperately needed abroad.
When the team at Five Stars first discussed Maddi’s family wishing to set up a charity in her memory, we were more than happy to help. We spent a lot of time with Maddi’s mum, Samantha Allan and the other trustees in deciding how they wanted to take the charity forward and we were very pleased when Maddi’s Butterflies became a registered charity on 25 May 2012. The aim of the charity is toprovide support to families with children who have been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and other forms of rare childhood cancers, by arranging day trips or short holidays, through to providing gifts or even by helping to transform a child’s bedroom or play area.
Samantha Allan said “Maddi’s Butterflies would like to say a huge thank you to Kirsty and the team at Sedulo for all their help in setting up this charity and their continued support. We are forever grateful”.
