The man who can make the most out of your money, Sedulo Wealth Management’s newest Independent Financial Planner, Richard Pattison.
First things first – how do you take your coffee?
I have my coffee with no sugar because I am sweet enough.
What has been your favourite thing about Sedulo so far?
I joined Sedulo in the week of the Leeds launch, so it was a really fun week to be starting with the company. I attended both launch events which gave me a great headstart in networking with clients and exploring the new office. The Friday then gave me a great chance to meet all of the team from both offices which was great to get to know everyone right from the off and get to grips with the culture.
What is your biggest success or achievement so far here?
I played a part in onboarding some high-profile clients which has been great and helped to grow our media client base.
What do you think makes Sedulo different?
I think the joined-up approach to dealing with clients would be the main factor that makes us different. We have experts across all departments so it amazing to be able to call on them if we see a client needs assistance in other areas. The team work great together and it’s reassuring knowing we can all help each other to deliver the best service to the client.
What is next in the pipeline for you and Sedulo Wealth Management?
The big aim is to replicate exactly what we have in Manchester in Leeds. We have a great Wealth Management team up and running consisting of qualified Paraplanners, IFA’s and Administrators and we want to build a team like this in Leeds so we can all grow and reach out to the Yorkshire clients together.
I’m also on the way to becoming a fully chartered IFA so that’s something I’m definitely looking forward too.
What is different between last role and Sedulo?
My last role was rather restricted. I feel like I get more freedom and independence at Sedulo. I get to go out and meet clients but at the same time they are welcome to come in and make use of our working space. It’s a great bonus to offer to the clients and again helps emphasise our personable approach.
What is the best thing about working for Sedulo?
Putting people plans into place. It’s amazing to help them plan for the future so they can achieve lifetime objectives such as early retirement etc.
