The pension regulator will notify you in writing starting 12 months before your staging date.
You can find out your relevant staging date on the Pension Regulator’s website (click the button below for a direct link) by inputting your PAYE scheme reference number found on your P35.
Can you bring your staging date forward?
As mentioned above, you can choose to bring your staging date forward to coincide with other key company dates such as your end of year accounting or to align staging dates for companies operating under a group structure.
You will have to contact the pension regulator in writing to confirm the new staging date you have chosen and this will need to be done at least one calendar month before the new chosen staging date.
Can I delay my staging date?
Quite simply, No. You must stage, however, you can use postponement.
