Sedulo proud to Stockport RUFC’s Great Balloon Race

The first event the Sedulo Community Project has dipped into the pocket for in 2015 is the Stockport RUFC under 10s Great Balloon Race.

The annual event is taking place on 6th February and is designed to raise funds so the club can continue to provide coaching, kit, equipment and travel to around 40 budding young rugby players.

The premise behind the race is to buy balloons at £5 a pop (excuse the pun), the balloons get released into the air carrying a unique ID tag and whichever balloon is found furthest away (one reached Ipswich last year!) wins the owner and the finder a cash prize.

We’ve taken a balloon for each member of staff we have and, if we’re lucky enough to win, the whole prize will be put straight back into the Sedulo Community Project’s fund to be put back into the North West community.
