Business Valuations

How to value a business

Valuations by their very nature, are subjective, taking into account not only financial factors but also non-financial ones too. Influencing the valuation are such things as, the profitability of a company, the trend of the turnover, the geographic coverage of a customer base, the strength and term of contracts being valued, the perceived ‘value added’ to an existing business and the attitude to risk of the purchaser.

The mix and emphasis of each of these drivers will be unique to the individual preparing the valuation.
