Laura McGowan

Laura joined Sedulo as our People and Culture Director in 2021, bringing with her over 20 years of experience working in HR in a variety of roles.

Laura is CIPD qualified and her career to date has seen her work across several industry sectors, most recently in media where she set up the HR function for the North to support a team that organically grew from c130 to almost 500 employees during her 9-year tenure.

Laura’s role here at Sedulo champions the importance we place on how we attract, develop, support and retain talent at all levels to ensure we are reflective of society and the communities we operate in. Laura is passionate about taking a holistic approach to embracing diversity and inclusion – as well as harnessing the competitive advantage that this can deliver – and her commitment to this has seen her responsible for leading the team that was awarded the “Organisation of the Year” award from the British Dyslexia Association in 2019 for an innovative approach to providing support for neurodiverse talent.
