We welcomed our clients and contacts to our offices for our Royal Ascot day last Friday. It was a great day, filled with socialising, drinking and of course betting.

A special thanks to all who joined us, and for those who couldn’t make it this time, carry on scrolling to read more about the day, plus your chance to see some photos from the event…

The day…

We were joined by 100 of our clients and contacts for our Ascot day, where some serious betting was taking place in the bar area with the excellent tipster, Stephen Wundke (ex professional cricketer and Chester races announcer) and some delicious canapes from Wood Fire Smoke were being served up!

As soon as the rain stopped, the rooftop came alive with music and sunshine, plus some funky cocktails consisting of Kopparberg and Cointreau thanks to the guys at the Botanist!

A worthwhile cause…

We managed to raise a total of £468.00 through donating proceeds of the cash betting and the charity betting, however, those who came along did manage to clean us out on our Sedulo.bet platform, meaning as the Bookie, we ended up down!

With no losing bets to donate towards our chosen cause, Matthew Penfound (more on his story here), we’ll be handing him a £1,500 cheque to go towards giving him the support he needs. We’ve also decided to treat his older sister to £400 worth of gift vouchers.

Special thanks…

A special thanks goes to all our sponsors from the day; Boost Capital, Bibby Financial, FRP Advisory, Assetz Capital, Foresight Group, 1pm PLC, Fleximize and LSC Finance Ltd for helping us to be able to put on this event.

Also a huge thanks to the Botanist who not only provided us with their bar staff for the day but who also hosted the after-party, where one of our clients decided to go all out and buy the most expensive bottle of Cognac in there!

And finally, we wouldn’t have been able to put on such a great day without the hard work from our amazing team and our Funding Solutions Partner, Leyton Jeffs, who planned the event from the start, although at the end it was clearly all to much for him…
